23rd Hyderabad Central Orthodox Padayatra (Nov 5) & Feast of St. Gregorios of Parumala (Nov 6)

23rd Hyderabad Central Orthodox Padayatra will be on 5th November 2022.

After two years of Covid, this year Hyderabad Central Orthodox Padayatra will be conducted by the four churches of the Hyderabad Region. Thousands of devotees participate in the Padayatra walking around 35 KM through the city.

Hyderabad Central Orthodox Padayatra will be flagged off from St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, Ramachandrapuram at 7:00 AM after the prayer. The padayatris will reach St.George Orthodox Church, Jeedimetla by 12:30 PM. After the noon prayer Padayatris will proceed to St.Andrews Orthodox Valiyapally, Secunderabad and reach by 4:00 PM. After the prayer at the church, the Padayatris will proceed towards St.Gregorios Orthodox Cathedral, Hyderabad where H.G. Yuhanon Mar Policarpos Metropolitan will receive them, which will be followed by pradikshanam, intercessory prayer, benediction and nercha vilambu.

Holy Mooninmel Qurbana will be celebrated next day (Sunday, 6 Nov 2022), where Chief Celebrant would be H.G. Yuhanon Mar Policarpos Metropolitan. The perunal concludes by honouring merit students, elders and golden couples, pradikshanam, intercessory prayer, benediction, nercha vilambu and lowering the flag.
